VLE Links & Google Classroom

At The Hathershaw College, we use Google Classrooms. Work will be set using Google Classroom for students in Year 7 - 11 who are self-isolating. Please click on the link to access this. Don't forget, you can always email your class teachers for help and support between the hours of 9am and 3pm.

There is also a Google Classroom app available on the Apple App Store or Google Play, and we have made changes to our IT infrastructure to allow access from an X-Box and/or Playstation console.

If you are struggling to access Google Classroom, please follow the tips below;

  • Make sure you are using the Google Chrome browser. If you do not have Google Chrome, it is free to download and can be downloaded here.
  • It is recommended to use a desktop/laptop computer when completing worksheets (i.e. Microsoft Word or PowerPoint).
  • If you struggle to log on using Google Chrome, it usually means you are logged into Google with a personal account or another person's account within your family/household. Please log out of ALL accounts and then log back in again using your school log in (username@hathershaw.org.uk and your normal password).
  • You must put the @hathershaw.org.uk at the end of your user number or it will not work.
