We are committed to recruiting the very best support staff, teachers and leaders to support and nurture our children, families and communities. Once these inspiring members of staff join us, we invest in their career and development so that we can retain the very best leaders, teachers and support staff in our schools and central teams, or the profession as a whole.
- Colleagues are happy working at the Hathershaw College over the last 5 years retention has been over 75%, a large number of staff have worked with us for over 5 years, 56 staff have been working with us for over 10 years. Currently 21 of our teaching staff started with us as trainees and then as NQT’s many of which hold middle and senior positions.
- Continuous Professional Development and career development as always a priority at The Hathershaw College, we believe that happy well trained staff are integral in delivery high quality provision for our students. Our Early Career Teachers are well supported by a range of highly skilled colleagues and mentors our middle leaders and aspiring senior leaders have access to the NPQ qualifications. There are always opportunities at a Trust Level for colleagues to widen their skills set.
