Philip Womack comes to Hathershaw

On Wednesday 6th March, Philip Womack visited the Hathershaw College to inspire pupils with various story writing and story telling workshops. The author spent the morning with Year 7, 8 and 9, sharing his top story writing tips. Pupils unleashed their imagination and enjoyed participating in the various creative writing activities. Year 9 engaged in an insightful talk about the inspirations behind the author's work and career achievements. At break and lunchtime pupils had the chance to meet the author and have discussions about his books. Pupils made the most out of the opportunity and asked for feedback on their own stories and creative writing. It was a successful event, pupils really benefitted from this visit and were amazed by the power of books.
