* Student numbers were not viable to run the course.

In light of the recent enforced closure we have instigated an additional period each day for intervention, with the exception of Tuesday’s due to staff CPD.  This additional time is not reflected above.

Future Plans

The college is ambitious for its students and recognises that our most recent changes to the curriculum are simply a starting point.  In addition to what we have so far implemented, we are currently reviewing our provision for:

  • GCSE Science – we are exploring how students will be able to access single Science GCSEs as an alternative to our current combined offer.
  • Computing – whilst this is delivered at key stage 3, we are keen to explore opportunities for offering this at GCSE level.
  • GCSE Music – as our newly introduced Key Stage 3 Music provision begins to have impact, we will offer this as a GCSE subject in the future.  As an interim position, we are considering opportunities for the Level 2 Tech Award for Music Practitioners.
  • Languages – we recognise that offering a single language might not provide the breadth that some students require.  We are keen to deliver an additional language, possibly as an extra-curricular offer in the first instance, but with a vision to extend this to the main curriculum at either key stage.
