Welcome to Hathershaw College

Responsible, Respectful, Ready to learn

It is a great pleasure to welcome you to The Hathershaw College, part of the Pinnacle Learning Trust. I am proud of my long association with the College and to lead a school in my home town.

This is a good school with a group of very talented teachers and staff who set high standards and expectations for children. We are inclusive and celebrate the diversity and uniqueness of everyone within the College. We care about our young people, with our first priority always being to make sure they are happy and safe so that they are able to learn. -College Principal

Reporting of COVID-19 During Half Term

As you will be aware, we close for half term after school finishes on Friday 23rd October. Whilst we will be closed to students, a number of staff will still be working hard behind the scenes. To this end, it is important that you inform us if your child tests positive for coronavirus during the half term holiday, particularly if they were in school prior to becoming unwell. This is to enable us to conduct contact tracing and advise students to self-isolate where necessary. We need to do this as part of our commitment to Public Health and to help keep our families as safe as possible.

To report a positive student case over the half term holiday, please email or telephone 0161 770 8509 and leave a voicemail message.

- Mr Giles

Thank you in advance
