School Uniforms: Getting It Right

You are expected to wear your uniforms properly when you are in school at all times, Even when you are not in lesson. A smart appearance is a reflection of the pride that you take in the school.

School Uniform Info

School Bag

It is recommended that your school bag be large enough to carry an A4 size folder and that it has safety markings on it. When carrying PE kit a plastic carrier bag should be used to prevent potential damage to other contents of the bag.

Jewellery And Make-Up

You are allowed to wear: A wristwatch. One pair of small studs may be worn. A small nose stud is permissible but body piercing is not allowed. Make-up is not permitted. Hair ornaments, if worn, must be unobtrusive in colour and design.

Health & Safety Considerations

Hijabs are to be worn in such a way as there are no loose ends, which could be described as a hazard to you.  For the same reason rings, dangling earrings and body jewellery are not allowed. They are not to have any logos on them or lace edges.

Appearance

You should wear their school uniform to give a smart appearance. Ties should be at least 6 stripes long and skirts should be of a reasonable length and shirts should always be tucked in. Where practicable protective clothing is to be worn when involved in any activity that could damage your uniform. Hair should be no shorter than a number 2 cut. No patterns must be shaved into haircuts.

Liability

The School will not be held liable for clothing, which is damaged when you do not follow the correct instructions of a member of staff. The school will pursue to the best of its ability reimbursement when accidental damage is caused by another student.
